Dogwood Festival Announces Artwork Contest

Dogwood Festival Announces Artwork Contest

Remember that scene in the movie American President when Michael Douglas’ presidential character, Andrew Sheperd, goes back and forth with the flower shop about dogwoods being both a flower and a tree.

Well, that’s true. They are both a flower and a tree. You can throw them together into artwork that could become the next design concept for the 2012 Dogwood Festival. The festival is taking submissions for a winning concept for their marketing campaign.

The are no design parameters except the design must incorporate the text, “2012 Dogwood Festival of the Lewis-Clark Valley”. Artists can decide to add this text into their submission or allow a Dogwood Festival graphics artist add it in later.
