Imagine your child’s artwork posted on your refrigerator. Now imagine it on the state’s Department of Education website. Think bigger. Imagine it on the department’s annual holiday greeting card. That artwork could be your kid’s work. Get out the crayons and markers and set them to work! They have until November 4th to submit their artwork.

“Our annual Holiday Card Contest is a great opportunity for Idaho’s elementary students to showcase their artistic abilities and for us all to recognize the importance of arts in education,” public instruction superintendent Tom Luna said.

A 20-year-old Lewiston man has been found guilty of defacing American Indian pictographs by spray painting marijuana leaves and marijuana-themed words on rock walls near Hells Gate State Park south of Lewiston.

Police looking for beer thief

Maybe you know this guy. Earlier in September, he stole beer from Liberty Mart, 226 22nd St. North West. Lewiston Police are investigating this case. So far they know that he has blonde hair and during the theft, he was wearing a black coat. There was another suspect involved, but Police say he did not steal any beer. If you have any information on the suspect please contact Cpl. Lewiston Police Respond To Bomb Threat

Lewiston Police searched Jenifer Junior High School for a bomb Monday but did not find anything suspicious.

Police originally responded to the report of a burglary at McGhee Elementary School where they found evidence that led them to the junior high.

School staff and police searched Jenifer High before school started sometime after 6:00 a.m.

Students were allowed in without delay after officials swept the entire campus and found no explosive.
