A 14-year-old boy was sentenced Monday to 108 months in juvenile detention by Asotin County Superior Court Judge William Acey.

The teen previously pleaded guilty in Asotin County Superior Court to five counts of 1st Degree rape of a child and one count of 1st Degree child molestation. Prosecutor Ben Nichols asked for a longer sentence, but the court denied the request.

There was no plea agreement in the case, and Heitter will have to register as a sex offender. The boy was taken into custody November 3rd after admitting to law enforcement that he touched a 5-year-old Lewiston girl inappropriately on multiple occasions.
