Cottonwood, Idaho's Dog Bark Park Inn was included in a list of TripAdvisor's 10 Quirkiest U.S. Accommodations.

Husband and wife owners, Dennis Sullivan and Frances Conklin, built the business from the ground up. Dennis said he designed and built the giant beagle because he wanted a project  that he could take time on and enjoy the full process of building. Dennis and Frances specialize in chainsaw art and can carve over 100 breeds of dogs.

Sweet Willy, the beagle that shapes the Dog Bark Park Inn, is a sight to see, but there is more than just looks that keep people coming back.

“We don't think of us as providing customer service, we are visiting with visitors at our place,” Dennis said.

This attitude, has prompted very positive feedback on the bed and breakfasts' TripAdvisor.com profile. One TripAdvisor user said this:

"It was great to see Frances and Dennis again, and of course their dog Sprocket! They are truly hosts that go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. We can’t wait to come back again next year!"

According to Dennis this is one place where being in the doghouse is a good thing.
