Clarkston raises funds for toddler air lifted to Spokane | Community Spirit
The TenderCare Children's Centers in the LC Valley will be holding a car wash and rummage sale to raise funds to help a family whose three-year-old son was Life Flighted to Sacred Heart Children's Hospital last week.
Layton Tannahill was diagnosed with tumors on his adrenal gland, kidney, and diaphragm after he fell ill last Tuesday.
The illness come on very suddenly and his parents remain by his side. They are unable to get into the Ronald McDonald house yet and are staying in a motel.
TenderCare Children's Centers will hold a car wash on Friday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the school-age facility at 1465 Poplar Street in Clarkston, and there will also be a rummage sale on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to noon at the infant/toddler facility at 1499 Fair Street in Clarkston.
Donations for the rummage sale are being accepted on Friday after 4:30 p.m., and on Saturday beginning at 7:00 a.m., according to Administrator Jeni White.
