Woman arrested for stealing Christmas ornaments | Crime
A 39-year-old woman with a long history of theft and burglary charges was arrested Tuesday after allegedly stealing several items, including Christmas ornaments from Schurman's True Value Hardware in Clarkston.
Cheri Delacruz was charged with 3rd-degree theft after being treated at Tri-State Memorial Hospital for an ankle injury she sustained after jumping from a retaining wall as she fled the store on foot.
Delacruz was extradited to the Nez Perce County Jail yesterday, where she is being held on four felony burglary charges stemming from several incidents. She made her first appearance in Lewiston's Magistrate Court today.
According to Nez Perce County Deputy Prosecutor April Smith, Delacruz allegedly stole items such as clothing and jewelry at four different businesses in Lewiston. On September 22nd, Delacruz allegedly stole items from Tri-State Outfitters; on October 11th, she allegedly stole items from Sportsman's Warehouse; on October 20th, Delacruz allegedly stole items from Big 5 Sporting Goods; and on November 9th she allegedly stole items from Primeland Cooperative.
