Asotin and Clarkston projects receive Ecology funding | Environment
A proposal by Asotin County, the City of Asotin, and the City of Clarkston was one of 10 projects statewide that were approved for funding by the Washington Department of Ecology. The projects, which have regional or statewide significance to support implementation of the Municipal Stormwater General Permits, total $2,111,841.
The local proposal for the development of a Stormwater Education Program in schools was approved for $50,500. It was ranked #8 out of the 27 proposals that the Department of Ecology received. A second proposal by Asotin County in the amount of $96,728 for equipment purchase was not approved because no funds remained available. That proposal ranked #21.
