Clarkston High School tours prepare voters for proposed bond

Community members have three more opportunities to get a first-hand look inside Clarkston High School's halls. Residents are invited to attend the upcoming high school building tours on Saturday and Tuesday, or the District Bus Tour on January 28th.

The purpose of these tours is to allow community members the opportunity to see how classrooms and facilities have changed over the years, and also to learn more about the proposed $38 million Capital Improvements Bond that will modernize the high school.

The building tours will take place from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. on Saturday and from 6:00 to 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

From Clarkston School District:

Another opportunity to visit the high school during school hours is at the January 28 District Bus Tour. Clarkston School District holds three bus tours each year, providing guests with a chance to interact with students, teachers and administrators inside our schools. The January 28 Bus Tour begins at 9 AM at the Clarkston District Office. Guests will board a school bus to travel to Clarkston High School and Heights Elementary to visit several classrooms and learn more about the great things going on inside Clarkston's schools. The bus tour ends at 12 PM back at the District Office with a free lunch.

Both the high school building tours and the District Bus Tour are FREE events. Registration to attend the bus tour is required, and those interested should contact Molly Curtiss at 509.544.5787 or at CurtissM@csdk12.org.

While parents and other community members may regularly visit the high school campus during sporting events and other school functions, the CHS building tours and the District Bus Tour are a unique chance for all interested citizens to look inside.
