A 21-year-old Asotin man has been found competent to stand trial on a 1st-degree child molestation charge, according to Asotin County Prosecutor Ben Nichols.

Chass Taylor has been held since early January on a $500,000 bond for allegedly molesting a 4-year-old boy. A mental evaluation conducted by Eastern State Hospital determined Taylor, who is developmentally disabled, is fit to stand trial. Trial was set for September 10th in Asotin County Superior Court.
