16 Clarkston students qualify for national FCCLA competition

After competing in the State Leadership Conference last month, 16 Clarkston High School students have qualified for the National FCCLA Leadership Conference in July.


Hannah Landkammer and Isabeau Krohn earned a gold medal in the state competition for their project entitled Illustrated Talk. Also earning gold medals were Jera Graham and Kaylee Rosgen for Environmental Ambassadors and Ellisa Dilling for Career Investigation.


Silver medal winners also qualified for Nationals. Medalists include Andrea Fouste, Hannah

Rouch and Sydnie Bodily for National Programs in Action; Breanna Anderson for Teach and Train; and Logan Pitcher and Brittany Poole for Interpersonal Communication.


Zach Proce, Lane Lee, Caitlyn McPherson, Briana Tucker and Melinda Betty also qualified for the State Evaluation Team.


FCCLA Chapter Members also honored Debbie Romesburg, Clarkston High School’s FCCLA advisor, with the Honorary FCCLA Membership award at the state competition.


FCCLA, is a national organization that works “to promote personal growth and leadership development through family and consumer sciences education.”
