Driver Will Not Be Charged In Fatal Collision In Lewiston | News

Lewiston Police say no charges will be filed against the woman who hit and killed an 8 year old girl on November 18,2011 in Lewiston at the corner of Thain Rd and Burrell Ave. The victim in the case, 8 year old Aryana Dahlin was strcuk by a Dodge Durango driven by Joycelyn Nichols.

Aryna later died from the injuries sustained in the collision. The Lewiston Police Department's Major Collision Investigation Team took the lead on the investigation. 

After reviewing all the evidence and witness information the case was taken to both the Nez Perce County Prosecutors Office and the City of Lewiston's City Attorney's Office for review and charging recommendations. Both offices agreed that there would be no charges filed against Joycelyn Nichols in this case.
