Malfunctioning aircraft lands safely at Lewiston Airport | News
A malfunctioning aircraft made a safe landing at Lewiston Regional Airport on Tuesday afternoon.
Airport officials say the inbound plane lost its left front wheel and began circling the airport around 1:30 p.m. in an attempt to burn off fuel.
Lewiston Fire crews stood by waiting for the pilot to make the final approach for landing. The plane landed safely and the pilot was not injured during the incident.
