US 95 crash forces one to be airlifted to Sacred Heart | News
MOSCOW, ID - Two Lewiston residents were injured this morning following a collision south of Moscow at 9:02 a.m. According to the Idaho State Police, 32-year-old Alisha Nielson was driving a 2009 Volkswagon Jetta northbound on US 95 coming down Riesenhauer Hill at milepost 339 when she lost control on a curve, slide into the southbound lane, and sideswiped a 2002 Kenworth semi and trailer, which was stopped in the southbound lanes.
34-year-old Shane Moyer was standing outside the truck and was struck by Nielson. After striking the truck, Nielson's vehicle slid back across the travel lanes and came to rest on the northbound shoulder.
Moyer was airlifted to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, while Nielson was taken to Gritman Medical Center. The lanes of travel were intermittently blocked for approximately 3 hours. The investigation is continuing.
