Sue Lohrmeyer recognized as schools' first employee of the month | Schools
From Roger Trail, executive director of human resources for Clarkston School District:
CLARKSTON, WA - As the 2013 year gets underway, Clarkston School District will begin recognizing an "Employee of the Month" based upon staff voting throughout the district. For the month of January, the District is pleased to recognize Ms. Sue Lohrmeyer who teaches kindergarten at Highland Elementary School.
Ms. Lohrmeyer was chosen based on the January theme of "Integrity." Each month, Clarkston employees in all buildings will vote for a staff member with a specific theme in mind, e.g. integrity, tenacity, trustworthiness, etc. The votes are tallied in each building, with the name of the employee receiving the highest votes sent to the District Office where a name is randomly selected from the finalists. On the last school board meeting of each month, the name of the Employee of the month will be revealed. That employee will be recognized as the Employee of the Month and receive a plaque and recognition on the Clarkston School District website.
Numerous staff members in the Highland Elementary building praised Ms. Lohrmeyer for her honest and hardworking leadership.
"All the synonyms for INTEGRITY describe her in the school setting," one co-worker said of Ms. Lohrmeyer. "I have personally worked collaboratively for 10 years, and Sue is one to be looked up to and admired. She is a role model for the profession of education."
