A moose visits the Bantams | Urban Wildlife
Title (Max 100 Characters)
I'm no wildlife expert, but I've noticed that moose have a curious habit of wandering into urban areas more so than other large, wild animals in the Northwest.
In recent years, we've seen moose trotting along Spokane streets, sunbathing in a city park, breaking into a home, canceling recess at Colbert Elementary School, and hurdling fences in the Spokane Valley.
So it shouldn't have been a huge surprise when a moose visited Clarkston High School on Thursday, but she still caused quite a commotion. According to Mia Carlson-Simpson at KQQQ, Clarkston Police were able to corral the young cow in the bleachers, where an officer with Fish and Wildlife was able to tranquilize it. The moose was relocated to the Asotin Creek Wildlife Community.
Let's hope she stays there.
