Idaho students recognized for holiday artwork

Kindergarten student, Lydia Frederick at Pioneer Elementary School in Weiser, Idaho won 1st place in her grade level.

2nd grade student, Tucker Rhodes, at Orchards Elementary School in Lewiston won 1st place in his grade level.

3rd grade student, Breanna Nine, at McSorley Elementary School in Lewiston won 1st place in her grade level.

4th grade student, Sophia Bosom, at McSorley Elementary School in Lewiston won 1st place in her grade level. Bosom was also a 2nd place finalist for the holiday card cover.

5th grade student, Rebecca Hammond, at Idaho Virtual Academy in Deary won 1st place in her grade level. She was a first place finalist for the holiday card cover

6th grade student, Taytum Allen, at New Plymouth Middle School in New Plymouth, Idaho won 1st place in the 6th grade level.

5th grade student, You-Jean Cho, at Jefferson Elementary School in Boise, won the 2011 Holiday Cart Contest. Her artwork will be featured on this year's holiday cards sent out to schools and throughout the State's education department.

Students from Idaho were honored for their artwork submitted to Idaho's Department of Education holiday card contest. Winners were from all over the state including Weiser, Post Falls, Lewiston, Deary and New Plymouth.
